See this left posterior fossa lesion in a middle aged female and diagnose


Recent CECT head showing multiple ring lesions il left cerebellum with surronding edema. This is highly suggestive of tuberculomas in brain.


MRI at the time of first admission 6 months back showing cystic cum solid enhancing lesion in left cerebellum. This is not a common picture of tuberculomas although cystic tuberculomas have been reported.

This patient was operated about 6 months back for left cerebellar lesion. A craniotomy was done on left side posterior fossa and lesion was excised totally. Histpathology revealed it to be a pilocytic astrocytoma. The recent lesion in left cerebellum is typical of tuberculomas.
