Recently I have submitted (in Nov 2011) my PhD thesis at Department of Information Technology, BBA University (A Central University), Lucknow INDIA. I worked for my PhD title -'To study the effects of radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation through Cellular phone: A health perspective' .
To evaluate the toxic potential of non-ionizing radiation through wireless communication devices particularly cellular telephones, in relevance to neurobehavioral and Neurochemical alterations in the rat’s brain, is the main object of our study. The basic information through the survey from the cell phone users in the state have been collected regarding their utilization pattern and radiation exposure and neurobehavioral parameters like spontaneous locomotor activity, rotarod, grip strength and Neurochemical parameters like oxidative stress measurement and fold change in gene expression were carried out in the laboratory after exposure of RFR through the cellular radiation by Global System of Communications (GSM-900 MHz). I worked to learn the fundamentals of cellular and molecular biomechanics during PhD study. During my stay at Developmental Toxicology Division, CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology, Lucknow- India, some basic neurobehavioral and biochemical parameters have been carried out to study the effects of Cellular irradiation in rat brain such as-
(a) Locomotive behavior (Spontaneous Locomotor Activity; Inclined Plane Test)
(b) Tests of learning and memory functions (Morris Water Maze Test)
(c) Oxidative stress measurement
The subjective knowledge of Computer Science, Physics and keen interest in neuroscience, along with good experience of analytical techniques are enhancing me to be associate in computational neuroscience or Neuroinformatics area of research for post doctoral study.
