If someone continues to produce calvarial defects by way of making burr holes or craniectomy then there is something wrong with system of CME. There is an alternative to burr holes and craniotomy takes as much as craniectomy. See below pictures of a lady who had endoscopic third ventriculostomy. Note small trephined bone which has been replaced resulting in good cosmetic look.
