Arnold Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia

The child was 5 years old then and bony decompression of foramen magnumwas done in 2006.

MRI done on 1/4/10 shows persistence of syringomyelia.
That is the reason that I do syringsubarachnoid shunt at upper dorsal region by a separate incision, in addition to bony decompression of foramen magnum( read about Karam Chand operation for Arnold Chiari Malformation withSyringomyelia on neurosurgic.com)

Further to the above treatment, I have put a syringosubarachnoid shunt at D1 level. Now the syrinx has totally resolved.
