Hi Vasilis.
I dont generally use the jailed cath technique. I am concerned that in small aneurysms, placing the stent over the cath might cause aneurysm perforation. I prefer stenting and then catheterizing. Sometimes it is difficult but only once impossible...
Anticoagulation is always the same as I have described it some years ago. Start only with heparine and when everything is finished cover the patient with LMWH for 3 days untl the antiplatelets start working.

Hi Vasilis and welcome to the group. Your idea for loading embo-videos in youtube is excellent! I liked very much the perfect result of PICA embo. I would like to ask if you would prefer jailed technique (catheterization firstly and then stenting and afterwards coiling). Did you use your standard protocoll with IV Heparin for ruptured aneurysms ?
