Main areas of research:

I'm interested in sensory perception and processing in the visual, somatosensory and nociceptive systems. I study these processes using human psychophysics, and single unit electrophysiology, optical imaging, and fMRI in human & non-human primates. My long-term goal is to use sensory stimulation across or within modalities to modulate sensory processes, in order to retrain, shape, or stimulate function.
