a broad discussion dont need any direction but just mean than more than a few participate in the debate and that every point of view can be raised in a broad discussion.
If we go to broad, the discussion will lack direction. Do you have an inkling of what kind of discussion you're after?
I think that e-books edited by wellknown publishers as springer verlag is the way in the future, despite the fact that i personally prefer printed books. But I know I have to adapt to what we can`t avoid.
