Profile Information

Main areas of research:
I am currently focused on creating a compassion and affect regulation-based pain management program for older adults. The goal is to improve pain management while increasing capacity to self-soothe, connect to others, and reduce various diseases of the immune system that especially effect older adults. Prior to that I created a "brain gym" model that improves cognitive functioning while enhancing emotional well-being. My Ph.D. is in Clinical Psychology with post-doctoral psychoanalytic training. I have been developing new clinical techniques and theories of treatment that integrate contemporary findings in the neurosciences.

Dear Mitchell. In 1996 I was on 3 week course in Alzheimer and other dementias in Holland. But I have not followed it up. But I hope that we can work together with memory and learning scientific problems also in Alzheimers, But I already am member of 14 groups and i cant follow it all. Best from af friend Bo, Denmark
