Utility of Image Guided System

A small left posterior frontal meningioma.

The meningioma was excised in toto. Although it was planned to be done with image guidance but since this equipment was being used in other case author made a 5cm trephine craniotomy by giving a straight left paramedian incision( anterior to posterior) and surgery was done without any complications.…

MCA lobar shape wide neck aneurysm, involving M1, M2 and M3, case follow up!!

This 47 year old man has been treated with stent assist GDC embolization, the plan was to use one stent to protect M2 and M3, but end-up, two stent in coaxis manner applied. The patient has been discharged from ICU with GCS=15. The reason to use two metallic stent in co-axis manner was one of the loop of the coil prolapsed to the parent artery (M1) during the procedure. Complete embolization of the lobar aneurysm acquired eventually. Here is the case.…

Correct use of the eye tracker in ERP,MEG and fMRI experiments?Please advice...

I would like ideas and what not to do or mistakes to avoid when doing eye tracking experiments during ERP or FMRI or MEG experiments?Your experiences will make a inexperience person wiser.We use the SMi equipment.

Brain,Mind and Neurosciences in Malaysia:how do we move forward?

Since the Decade of the Mind started in 2010,Malaysia has a lot to do to catch up scientifically and acdemically.It takes a group od hard working workers to make this a success.
I get ideas reading a very interesting book titled:Mind and Brain Sciences in the 21st century bu Robert L.Solso (MIT Press)
Any comments and any scientist to improve neuroscience in Malaysia will be appreciated....
