A Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) is an interface between the human brain and a computer. It allows to control a computer and according to this any other device withouth manual interaction! You just use your thoughts instead of mouse and keyboard. Therefore the user’s brainwaves (EEG – Electroencephalogram) are measured and processed in real-time.

The g.tec Brain-Computer Interfaces work very well for a single person. As if that were not enough, g.tec went one step further and performed the first Hyperscanning BCI experiment. What does Hyperscanning mean? It means that eight people were connected to the Brain-Computer Interface and their power of thought was combined to write a text using their synchronized concentration. This substantially improves the communication speed and the accuracy  of the BCI.

Here you can see the video which shows the first Hyperscanning BCI Experiment around the globe:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3SnmhlOTtQ

The g.tec employees wrote “MerryXmas” through a so-called P300 Brain-Computer Interface. The g.tec team wishes Merry X-mas and a happy new year.
